For audit firms

Your client walks in already ready.

InCite is the system your nonprofit clients run all year. AuditSentinel™ is the part that keeps them audit-ready while they run it — so the PBC list comes back complete, the SEFA already exists, and the surprises happen in month three instead of your draft report.

You already know how this goes

The PBC list goes out in September. Half of it comes back in November, in pieces, some of it rebuilt from memory. The SEFA is assembled the week you ask for it. Fieldwork slips, the budget bleeds, and the findings you write are the same ones you wrote last year.

Not because the client is careless — because nothing between audits changed how they actually operate.

That is the gap InCite closes. Not an audit tool: an operating system the organization uses every day, which happens to leave a clean, traceable record behind it.

What your client has in place

Ready before you ask, not because you asked.

Ten things running continuously in the client's own environment, all year — each one producing evidence you would otherwise have to ask for.

Built daily

Rolling SEFA

The Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards is built daily from the ledger, reconciled monthly, then locked. It exists in October — not the week you ask for it.

Nightly

Continuous compliance monitoring

Scans against the 2 CFR 200 Subpart F requirement types — cash management, matching, period of performance, procurement and suspension/debarment, reporting, equipment, subrecipient monitoring — each flagged with a citation and a confidence score.

Continuous

SAM.gov exclusion screening

Every vendor screened against the federal exclusions list continuously, with the evidence retained rather than re-run at year end.

Every document

Library with provenance

Source documents ingested, classified and searchable — with what each one is, where it came from, and when it arrived.

Your list

Auditor request workspace

Your PBC list goes in. Each item is matched to a document the client already holds, or flagged plainly as something that must be produced — and by whom.

Append-only

Immutable findings record

A correction voids and replaces the original. The prior value, who changed it, and why all remain on the record — which is exactly what you would ask for anyway.

Per pay period

Effort certification

Time and effort documentation behind every federally funded salary line — the single most common place a small organization's documentation trail breaks.

At capture

Receipts with allowability

Every expense captured, classified against 2 CFR 200 allowability, and routed for approval through the org chart. The approver is recorded on the receipt at submission — not reconstructed afterwards.

Mapped

Policy register

Board-approved policies identified, classified and mapped to the requirement areas they cover — so a missing procurement or conflict-of-interest policy is visible long before you ask for it.

Award to close-out

Grant lifecycle

Awards tracked from application through close-out, with deadlines, reporting obligations and the post-award record tied to the same ledger the SEFA is built from.

What changes for your engagement

The same procedures, against a better record.

Without it

PBC list returns in pieces, over weeks
SEFA assembled while you wait
Issues surface in the final week
“Where did this number come from?” → an email thread
Effort certifications reconstructed at year end
Last year's finding, again

With InCite

Documents you can tie out, in the window you asked for
A SEFA that exists in advance, with the ledger tie visible
Issues found and remediated in month three
Every figure traces to a dated source record
Effort documented per pay period, as it happened
The process changed — which is the only thing that clears a repeat finding

You still find what you find. Nothing here narrows your procedures, replaces your testing, or substitutes for your judgment — it changes the quality of what you are testing against.

Independence

Stated plainly, because it matters.

InCite is a client-side system — licensed by, paid for by, and operated by the nonprofit.

We do not perform audits, issue opinions, prepare financial statements for attest clients, or act as management. AuditSentinel flags potential compliance issues for the client to review and remediate. It does not test controls on your behalf and substitutes for nothing in your procedures.

There are no referral fees, no revenue share, and no reseller agreements. We take no fee from the firm and have no stake in your audit outcome — recommending a system that makes a client easier to audit should not create a financial relationship with their auditor.

The client, not the firm, decides what the auditor is given access to.

How firms work with us

Three ways, none of them awkward.

The lightest

Mention it

A client struggling with PBC turnaround, or carrying a repeat finding, hears that a system exists. We take it from there — you stay out of the middle.

The warmest

Introduce us

A short introduction to the CFO or Executive Director. We run the conversation and the diagnosis, and report back only what the client wants shared.

The most useful

Read-only access

Where the client grants it, your team sees the document library, the rolling SEFA and the compliance record directly. No export requests, no chasing.

Fewer surprises. Cleaner evidence. Same standards.

Fifteen minutes is usually enough to tell whether this helps your nonprofit clients or not.
